One of my coaching clients has a second home for sale. It is expensive, vacant with equity doing nothing. It is in one of the hardest hit areas. Now she, as an agent, is the best. She determines the client’s motivation and convinces the seller that obtaining the goal is more important than trying a price that is wrong for the the market. How does she know it is wrong for the market – lack of offers! However, when it comes to her own home, oh you should hear her and her family. So are you making that mistake? Do you have something for sale at a price that is not exciting to the market? Please re-evaluate the reasons to sell, the cost and how long it would take you to get the money back by being free of it. Put yourself in the shoes of an agent and do the right thing. If you need to sell, quit waiting for that special buyer because they want a deal too. If you need to sell and it makes sense, then waiting for the right buyer in the wrong market is a bad move.
