For some reason or another, sometimes you just can’t close a lead during a phone call.  You never know when they hang up thinking about your call, when they second guess their decision to not meet with you, etc.  A friendly follow-up, thank you letter is always welcomed.

It has been a pleasure speaking with you.  My only regret is that we could not meet to further evaluate your needs and capabilities.  As you consider your new purchase, please keep the following ideas in mind:
