You just never know where a new potential team member will show up!  Most newspapers will have a section where they publish community news including new business announcements.  Make a habit for yourself (or your assistant, if you have one) to review this section every time it’s published.

Maybe the new business owner wants to move closer to his/her new business?  Maybe he/she will need to expand their business with a new location in the next few years?  Maybe your real estate business and his/her business have some aspects where you can both help each other?

Whatever the case, a nice “Congratulations” letter from an area business colleague is always a welcomed piece of mail, and it’s a weekly project that doesn’t cost much time or money.
